Welcome To Durden Racing

Welcome to the Website for Durden Racing. On our website you can find the latest news and information for our racing stables. Kathryn and Craig are very passionate about the training of their horses and love what they do. They enjoy taking on tried horses that other trainers may be struggling with and giving them a new opportunity to shine under their care. They train out of their 25ac privately owned establishment at Moriac which is approx. 25 min outside of Geelong Victoria. Kathryn encourages you to give her a call on 0438 662 155 or Contact Us for further enquiries.

Wells Geelong Horse of the Year

4th October 2018

Wells took out the Geelong horse of the year and also won the Briseis Award for a special achievement by a horse.

It was the second year in a row that he has won the prestigious award.

Wells continued his great form from the previous season by winning three of three over jumps all in feature races culminating in the Grand National Steeplechase which was his third win in the race equalling the record.

Wells Does It Again

22/7/18 Wells returned to the jumps at Bendigo in great style winning his second Moss Trooper steeplechase.
His flat runs have been encouraging and he showed he is in great form returning with a win to kick off his jumping campaign heading towards the Grand National at Ballarat.
He settled at the back of the field, came wide to hit the lead in the straight to draw away and win by six lengths.
He was given a great ride by Richard Cully and will now head to the Crisp at Sandown on the 5th August.
