Craig was a very successful jumps jockey for 21years winning all the feature races and often on more than one occasion. A seven time winner of the Tommy Corrigan Medal and the winner of eleven jumps jockey premierships in both Victoria and South Australia.
He was apprenticed to Colin and David Hayes in South Australia and returned to Victoria on completion of his apprenticeship where he rode work for Lee Freedman and legendary jumps trainer Jim Houlahan. During this time he took the opportunity to travel overseas to Japan, Ireland and England working for Noel Meade and Charlie Egerton. He gained great experience in all aspects or European training methods. Craig rides trackwork and assists in the general running of the stable and race programming of the horses.
Craig also currently has a position with Racing Victoria on the jumps skills panel mentoring and advising the jockeys.
